Looking on the Bright Side...

So on Tuesday Trinity got to be the sick girl, yesterday was my turn and today it's Sawyer.  This does not bode well for getting Christmas preparations done :o(  I won't even talk about the sights and smells around here, not pretty.
Time to look on the bright side of life (both to make my blog less depressing and for my own good!)...

  1. I have amazing kids (9 and 7) who cooked their own supper last night, and fed their little brother.  So sweet.
  2. Trinity came to my room before bed to pray for me to feel better, what a girl!
  3. The Christmas shopping is over half done, and the stockings are filled! (shhhhh, don't tell the kids, it's our first year with stockings and they have no idea!)
  4. I ate toast this morning and it felt great!  Need to get my strength back up!
  5. I've lost all the weight I wanted to lose before Christmas (though I think I'll find a different method to keeping the weight off :oP)
  6. I get to snuggle with Sawyer today (who's very snuggly when he's sick) and read many, many stories.
  7. We got a beautiful covering of fluffy snow last night :o) and a nice mild morning today.
  8. I'm really enjoying the fact that this Christmas is ending up more simple and less commercial than others.  Yeah, getting the shopping done is a little crazy, but since I haven't been doing it for a whole month I feel less consumed by it.
  9. I'm LOVING the CHRISTmas playlist I made for my ipod last year!  I still listen to my other Holiday music, but the focus of a whole playlist that revolves around Christ is awesome!
  10. It's Friday.  I normally don't count down to the weekend, but this week I'm very happy that it's Friday and that means a weekend of downtime :o)
Let's keep it going, what are you positive about today?

Mmm... I'm positive about a beautiful weekend is in the forecast, so is a big batch of Christmas baking. After looking back on my previous posts I guess my MOST positive thought today is that I have a job that I love (complete with a wonderful boss and coworkers) AND that it's Friday!! What are Mark and the kids feeling positive about today? I'd love to know what their answers would be!!

I'm feeling positive that nobody will be sick this Christmas!
AND that my shopping is done and I can spend this month more focused on what is really meaningful in my life....Jesus, my family, good friends, and the strangers out there from whom I've heard more "Merry Christmas" greetings than ever before! Is it just my city or is this happening everywhere? I feel SO BLESSED!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your preparations and the music you so enjoy :)
I love you!
