Due to Mark being in an accident and writing off our van and then his grandpa dying in Calgary and a quick family trip out there we were a little behind on the whole Christmas decorating and advent thing. It's still strange for me to think that Christmas is only 2 weeks away and I have done only about 10% of my Christmas shopping and there isn't even a tree up around here! Christmas music though has been played in abundance, scripture has been read, verses about the birth of the Christ meditated upon...our hearts are into it, just our decorating and our gifting hasn't caught up yet :o)
I put out a few things though and I've been enjoying the simplicity of it and the reminder that it brings of the celebration to come!
First I decided to trim my spruce out front and deck our mantel with something fresh this year...
Then out came the snowman and advent tree...
and, of course, something to brighten up the table...
Now for a tree!
